To Whom It May Concern:
Florence Nathan and I worked together for two years teaching a multiage community of 5, 6 and 7 year olds at an American style
international school in Shanghai, China. During that time, I had the opportunity to observe her teaching style and to get
to know her personally.
Flo is a dedicated teacher. She wants the best for her students and out of her students. She planned and taught lessons
that were creative and challenging. Every student had the opportunity to learn under her guidance. She used many engaging
activities to stimulate thinking and create interest in the topic being studied. She engaged parent participation where appropriate.
She carried out student assessments and conferences in a professional manner. She used the information from these assessments
to guide further growth and to demonstrate student growth to parents.
Flo is a cooperative team member. She makes suggestions, and she willingly carries out her responsibilities. She has a pleasant
manner, and she takes a genuine interest in those around her.
Personally, Flo has a wide range of interests, experiences and expertise. She lives her life according to the principles she
holds most dear. Her sense of humor is used appropriately both inside and outside of the classroom. She is fluent in French,
English and Chinese. She uses the computer to great advantage both in and out of the classroom. She has had opportunities
to be both a leader and follower and to develop curriculum for various age levels. She tries to maintain a balance between
her personal life and her professional life.
I highly recommend Florence Nathan for a position in your school. If you wish more details, please e-mail me at bettek@ciss.com.cn

Sincerely,
